JourneyForth Books, an imprint of BJU Press, produces church and family resources for all ages. Guidelines are available at http://www.bjupress.com/book/freelance.php. We seek:
- Bible studies and Christian living books for teens and adults: well-written. biblically sound resources with a conservative Christian worldview. Our desire is to encourage believers to become more Christlike in their thinking, to grow in their service to God, and to represent Christ well before the world.
- Novels and biographies for young readers through teens: for readers of varying abilities and interests. Our desire is to develop in young people a love for and understanding of the written word, and to that end we focus on literary excellence, biblical worldview, and an engaging, age-appropriate storyline.
- Novels and biographies for middle grade or upper elementary school readers.
- First chapter books for newly independent readers.
We are not accepting:picture books, curriculum (school or Sunday school), or novel or biographies for the adult market.
About the Editor
Nancy Lohr is the acquisitions editor at JourneyForth Books, acquiring for both the youth and adult markets. Nancy has 17 years of experience in book publishing and was an educator and children’s librarian for two decades before moving to publishing.
