Chris Fabry’s Almost Heaven named Fiction Book of the Year
Chris Fabry, a member of the Christian Writers Guild’s Editorial Board, was “honored and a bit surprised” that his Almost Heaven (Tyndale) was named Fiction Book of the Year May 2 by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).
“Almost Heaven is such a small story,” Fabry says. “It’s about a man with a little dream, living in an isolated part of the country. But I shouldn’t be surprised, because God delights in using simple things to bring Him glory.
“I’m so proud that Billy Allman’s story, at least my fictional version of it, was chosen among many other fine novels for this honor.”
Fabry is a writer and broadcaster (hear him on Chris Fabry Live! and Love Worth Finding), the author of five adult books and more than 30 titles in the Left Behind: The Kid’s series. He also writes radio scripts for Adventures in Odyssey. He and his wife Andrea have nine children.
